Bid Timeline Calculator
What Does the Minimum Bid Timeline Calculator Do?
The Minimum Bid Timeline Calculator assists agencies in answering these questions:
How quickly can we get a bid through SCD procurement?
When do I need to submit to SCD if I want my bid due on a specific date?
If I release the bid on a specific date, when will the bid due date be?
How do I adjust my timeline for advertisements or to avoid holidays/blackout dates?
NOTE: This only takes into consideration the MINIMUM required timeline. An agency can always add time to their bid timeline. For instance, if you have a large or technical project it may be beneficial to add extra days to your bid timeline.
NOTE: This tool is only for general information purposes, and is only suggested. Ultimately, the responsibility for following the statutory requirements for bids and producing a timeline lies with the agency.
How to use the Minimum Bid Timeline Calculator
- Choose the correct form of the Minimum Bid Timeline Calculator.
SCD strongly recommends advertising in order to reach a wider audience.
Minimum Bid Timeline Calculator with Advertising. Statutorily required for all professional service bids. Wyoming State Statute: 9-23-101 ~ 9-23-107 Professional Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Services Procurement.
Minimum Bid Timeline Calculator without Advertising. Advertising for bids other than professional services is optional at the agency's discretion (but strongly recommended by SCD).
2. Choose the information you want to enter, depending on what day you are trying to calculate:
Calculate forward from "Release Date on Public Purchase" or
Calculate backwards from "Bid Due Date".
Click "Yes" if there will be a Pre-Bid metting.
Enter the # of days reserved to answer questions or release an addenda (must be greater than zero)
3. Errors to Avoid:
If the date entered on either of the calculated dates falls on a weekend/state holiday/ agency blackout day, "Blocked Date" will show in the field and a new date is required.
If when calculating using "Bid Date", the "Completed Bid Request" and/or "Release Date of Public Purchase" dates is prior to today, the boxes will be outlined in red and a new "Bid Date" is required.
